Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) has announced two exciting firsts for the 2027 Girl Scout Cookie Program: the first Girl Scout cookie created especially for dogs and the first allergy-friendly Girl Scout Cookie. Making the announcement even sweeter for Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey, GSUSA’s national print and visual campaign featuring these new products was photographed at our own Camp DeWitt—and the Girl Scouts featured in the campaign are members of our council!
Patch Pals™ and Girl Scout Sparkables™ will join the national Girl Scout Cookie lineup as online exclusives beginning January 2027. Both products will be available for direct shipping only.
Developed in partnership with BARK, Patch Pals are the first Girl Scout dog cookies, giving four-legged family members a playful way to join the fun of the Girl Scout Cookie Program.
Inspired by Girl Scouts’ love for their dogs, these soft-baked, blueberry muffin-flavored treats feature four different “patch” designs representing iconic Girl Scout experiences. Patch Pals celebrate the special bond between people and their pups while giving Girl Scouts another fun product to share with customers.
Girl Scout Sparkables are the first allergy-friendly cookie in the Girl Scout Cookie portfolio. Developed in partnership with Partake®, the crunchy oatmeal cookies feature chocolate chips and colorful sprinkles.
Sparkables are made in a facility designed to avoid the nine major food allergens: wheat, tree nuts, peanuts, milk, eggs, soy, fish, sesame and shellfish. They are also certified gluten-free, non-GMO and vegan, helping more families take part in the joy of the Girl Scout Cookie Program.
While Girl Scouts across the country will soon be introducing customers to Patch Pals and Sparkables, we have an extra reason to celebrate here at Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey.
GSUSA’s national campaign created to introduce these new products was photographed at Camp DeWitt and features Girl Scouts from our council. That means GSHNJ Girl Scouts appear in marketing materials shared by GSUSA, Girl Scout councils and media outlets across the country.
We are incredibly proud to see our Girl Scouts representing the movement on a national stage and helping bring the excitement of these groundbreaking new products to life.
The Girl Scout Cookie Program is about much more than cookies. Through the program, Girl Scouts develop five essential skills: goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.
Every purchase supports Girl Scouts as they pursue meaningful experiences throughout the year—from outdoor adventures and travel to community service, STEM exploration and leadership development. All proceeds stay local, supporting Girl Scout councils and troops.
Stay tuned for more information about the 2027 Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey Cookie Program—and keep an eye out for some familiar GSHNJ faces as GSUSA’s national campaign rolls out!
