1. Set a Goal! Setting goals
is a great way to get started in the Girl Scout Cookie Program. Your goals may be to earn enough money for a Take Action project or a fun trip, to sell more than you did last year, or to earn your favorite rewards. Setting goals is a great activity to do as a troop, too. Not sure how to go about setting goals? Earn your Girl Scout Cookie Entrepreneur Family Pin, or check out the Cookie Business badges for your level.

2. Make a plan! How will you connect with your customers? Think about different ways to participate in the Girl Scout Cookie program: in-person, door-to-door, online, and more. After the initial order period, make a plan to connect with customers via cookie booths, walk-abouts, and online.

3. Stay safe! Make sure your caregiver submits the permission form they received from your troop leader. And together, review Product Program safety, take the Girl Scout Internet Safety Pledge and Digital Cookie Pledge, and review our Social Media Guidelines.

4. Open your storefront! Use this resource to set up your Digital Cookie Online Shop and start sending emails to your customers.

Participating in the Girl Scout Cookie Program teaches girls The Five Skills every business owner needs to be successful: goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. Explore activity guides, games, helpful tips, virtual computer backgrounds, door hangers, and more on the Girl Scouts website.

During the Cookie Program, you will not only earn funds for your Girl Scout activities—you'll earn recognition items and patches, too.

• Girl Scouts can continue to opt out of recognitions to donate instead! Check out how to donate to The Shoe that Grows.

• Fall Product/Cookie Crossover recognitions: Girl Scouts and volunteers have the opportunity to earn more with a crossover patch.

Do you know someone who would like to support Girl Scouting, but isn’t able to indulge in our cookies? They can purchase GSHNJ’s “Gift of Caring cookies! Girl Scouts simply indicate in the appropriate column on the order card the number of boxes ordered towards Gift of Caring.

GSHNJ partners with Operation Jersey Cares to distribute our collected Gifts of Caring. All donations of cookies will go to U.S. military troops and veterans.
