Newly elected officers bring deep experience in public service, education, and finance
Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey (GSHNJ) is pleased to announce the election of three new officers to its Board of Directors. On June 2, 2025, the Board elected the following individuals from its current membership to serve unexpired officer terms through 2026:
- Assemblywoman Linda S. Carter, representing New Jersey’s 22nd Legislative District, will serve as First Vice Chair. A dedicated public servant and advocate for youth and education, Assemblywoman Carter brings valuable legislative and community leadership experience to her new role.
- Delia Ware-Tibbs, elected Secretary, is a retired United States Army Reserve officer with 29 years of service, where she held a range of leadership positions, including during Operations Iraqi Freedom and Desert Storm. She brings extensive leadership and operational experience from both her military service and her corporate career as a Marketing Project Manager at Verizon.
- Marie Reger, elected Treasurer, is the Chief Financial Officer of Children’s Aid and Family Services, a nonprofit organization serving vulnerable children and families across New Jersey. She brings extensive expertise in nonprofit financial stewardship and strategic planning.
These newly elected officers join Dr. Naima Ricks, who continues in her role as Chair of the Board, and Della Walker, Jr., who remains as Second Vice Chair.
