Make a Difference Weekend is an opportunity for individuals, families, friends and troops to spend the weekend at Camp Lou Henry Hoover and give back to the beautiful 340-acre camp. Everyone attending Make a Difference Day will help revitalize the camp after the long, hard winter and prepare it for the spring and summer camping season.
Volunteers skilled in the following areas are needed to complete a variety of projects: Carpentry, Plumbling, Maintenance, Painting, Organization and lots of cleaning. Other projects include cleaning cabins, organizing program supplies, taking inventory, washing windows, cleaning and stocking the program boxes, clearing and tagging trails, painting, and much more.
All volunteers should be prepared for a day of work both indoors and outdoors. Join us for lunch and dinner in the Dining Hall on Saturday. Groups are welcomed to stay over the weekend for one or both nights! This event is open to non-Girl Scouts.
