As a leading organization dedicated to building the leaders of tomorrow with the courage, confidence, and character to make the world a better place, we believe in you!
GSHNJ Girl Scouts from Grades 7-12 who have not attended this program previously are invited to join this year's leadership development cohort for a day of skill-building, activities, and discussion designed to engage and inspire our emerging teen leaders. Hosted at Montclair State University in partnership with Montclair State University's Department of Public Health, You Lead is an active day of programming focused on developing tangible leadership skills, such as networking, communication, building diverse and effective teams, setting SMART goals and prioritizing what's important (but not always urgent). These skills are applicable both within your Girl Scout career (such as achieving your Silver or Gold Award) as well with leadership roles at school and other community groups. In addition, teens will have the opportunity to work with senior GSHNJ staff hear from their peers with our Teen Girl Scout Rock! panel and Spark Talks, reflect on their personal goals, and have fun with active games and activities throughout the day!
