This is the second part of a blended first aid/CPR course option.through the American Heart Association.
The first part is an online training, for which each person must register for, pay for, and view separately. At the end of this portion, you will be given the option to print out a certificate of completion for the online portion. This certificate MUST be printed out by each person and brought to the skills portion of the course.
The in-person portion of the training is a 2.5 hour session in which both first aid and CPR skills will be reviewed with a chance to practice and receive feedback from an instructor.
Successful completion of this course results in a two-year first aid
certification from the American Heart Association. You'll learn how to
address safety concerns when administering first aid, and gain skills
in handling medical, injury, and environmental injuries including what
to do if someone is choking. You'll also learn how to administer CPR
correctly and use an AED (automated external defibrillator).
IMPORTANT: For adult to become a certified Troop First-Aider,
you must take both the first aid and CPR training components.
