Bring one of your stuffed animals for an unforgettable afternoon at Camp DeWitt! Enjoy games, crafts, outdoor fun, hot dogs or veggie dogs, and s'mores with your Stuffy before they embark on their own two-week camp adventure! Our Stuffy Camp Counselors will photograph their escapades so Girl Scouts can see what their Stuffy did at camp!
We will also be collecting gently used stuffed animals to donate to local organizations supporting children in need. Donations should be clean, free of damage like rips or stains, machine washable, no small/removable parts or accessories, and all Stuffed Animals should be standard cuddle size and fit comfortably in arms. (No oversize/jumbo stuffed animals please.) If you are donating multiple stuffed animals, they must fit in a tall, 13-15 gallon garbage bag with ties. (1 bag per family!)
Program Details:
- This program is open to members and non-members so Girl Scouts are welcome to bring a non-member friend and earn a special "Bring a Friend" fun patch!
- Participants will receive a fun patch and mini photo album including pictures of their Stuffy's camp experience.
- Girl Scouts and adults must register for this program or event. All Girl Scout participants must be chaperoned at this program or event by their Troop Leaders or by a guardian.
- Adult cost includes participating in the campfire dinner! Please be sure to indicate any dietary restrictions/allergies and we will do our best to accomodate!
- Pick up your Stuffies at the North Branch Service Center on Monday, July 27th, from 11-5 PM or from the Westfield Service Center on Tuesday, July 28th from 11-5 pm. If you are unable to to pick-up your Stuffy during these times, arrangements can be made for an alternate pick-up location/time. A detailed email with directions and info will be sent in early July.
