Get ready to turn the page on a new school year
with Second Saturday: GWRL Book Fair-a heartwarming event open to Girl
Scouts and the community!
Help us support Newark's
literacy initiative by bringing a new or gently used book or school
supply to donate. As a thank-you, you'll get to choose a book to take
home and enjoy some peaceful reading time in our cozy, quiet spaces at
the Girl Scout Leadership Center. You'll even get to customize your
own book mark!
📖 But that's not all-step into one of our
reading rooms where volunteers will bring stories to life, reading
aloud to youth in age-specific groups. Whether you're giving a book,
getting a book, or listening to one, it's the perfect way to celebrate
learning, kindness, and community.
So bring a friend,
grab your favorite story, and join us in spreading the joy of
reading-Girl Scout style!
Girl Scouts and adults
must register for this program or event. All Girl Scout participants
must be chaperoned at this program or event by their Troop Leaders or
by a guardian.
