What does it mean to eat locally-and how can the food we choose make a difference in our community? Join us for a hands-on Locavore experience guided by an Executive Chef where Girl Scouts will Learn, Cook, Eat & Lead!
At this event, Girl Scouts will explore where their food comes from, discover the benefits of local and seasonal produce, and learn how supporting local farmers and food producers can strengthen our communities. Then, it's time to get cooking! Guided by an Executive Chef, Girl Scouts will use fresh, local ingredients to build and prepare delicious meals while developing practical kitchen and meal-planning skills.
But the experience doesn't stop at the table! Girl Scouts will Lead by Giving Back through a community food drive. Girl Scouts will have the opportunity to collect nonperishable food items to support a local food bank. Together, Girl Scouts will help gather, organize, and prepare the donations for delivery, turning what they've learned about food and community into meaningful action.
Badge Included! Cadettes will earn the New Cuisines badge, Seniors will earn the Locavore badge, and Ambassadors will earn the Dinner Party badge.
Learn. Cook. Eat. Lead. Make an impact-one meal at a time!
