Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey is hosting its first ever VIRTUAL takeover of National STEM Day and we need creative, curious and resourceful Girl Scouts of all ages to help! Your challenge is simple. Create a chain reaction using at least 2 simple machines to move an object, take 3 photos of your building progress (start, middle, end) and send us your pictures for a chance to be featured during the Social Media Takeover on November 9th! Use this Resource Guide for full challenge details and useful information!
Additional Details:
- This virtual challenge kicks off on zoom at noon on November 6th, then participants will have 4 hours to complete the challenge. We will gather again @ 4 pm for a zoom show and tell. (Zoom meetings will be private and there is no obligation to join. You can still complete the challenge.)
- Challenge must be completed anytime between 12-4 pm on Friday, November 6th!
- You must use materials that are already in your home.
- Your reaction must move a marble (or similarly sized object) in any direction, speed, or distance.
-
Email your pictures to Marcomm@gshnj.org by 11/8 for a chance to be featured on our social media takeover on 11/9!
- Zoom links will be sent in program reminder emails in the week leading up to November 6th!
- A STEM Girl Fun Patch will be mailed to all participants upon completion of the program.
