If your troop is interested in camping out, but you're not sure if you're outdoorsy enough to take the lead, this event is for you! Scouts will get a taste of camping in cabins at The OVAL while adults complete Steps 2 & 3 of O&O Training. We'll walk you through the whole process, from planning the packing list and activities, to building a fire and cooking campfire meals, to rolling up your sleeping bag at packout. Gain the confidence you need to lead your own troop camping trips!
Each troop will need to register additional Adult Volunteers
(who are not participating in O&O training) to supervise the girls
within the appropriate safety ratios. After completing the day of
Outdoors and Overnights training, the Adult Volunteers will put their
skills to the test as they lead an outdoor activity and help their
troop prepare a cookout dinner. Troops may select cabin
accommodations or bring their own tents.
