We're excited to offer an in-person Babysitter Training Course through the American Red Cross - the nation's leader in babysitting classes! This comprehensive, youth-centered program will prepare Girl Scouts ages 11-16 to become capable, confident, and responsible child caregivers.
In fact, 8 in 10 surveyed parents say they would pay more for a trained babysitter who holds American Red Cross certification - now that's a résumé booster!
What You'll Learn
This engaging, hands-on training includes:

Developed by industry experts, this course ensures participants are prepared to safely and confidently care for infants and children.
Certifications & Badges
Upon successful completion (attendance at both days is required),
participants will receive:
-American Red Cross Babysitter
Training Certificate (valid for 10 years)
-American Red Cross
First Aid/CPR Certificate (renewable every 2 years)
-Girl Scout
Cadette Babysitter Badge (all requirements fulfilled through this
program!)
-Seniors will also complete parts of the First Aid Badge.

📅 Dates: Saturday, June 13 & Sunday, June 14
Time:
10:00 AM - 3:00 PM (both days)
💲 Cost: $130 per participant
Minimum 10 participants / Maximum 12 participants
Includes Babysitter's Handbook, First Aid Kit, Flashlight, Babysitter Backpack, two American Red Cross certifications, and the Cadette Babysitter Badge.
Payment should be made directly to the instructor, Christine Peters by check, Zelle, or cash. Parents should contact Christine at chpeters100@gmail.com to make their payment to solidify their Girl Scout's registration.
About Christine Peters
Christine has been a lifetime member of Girl Scouts for over 50
years. She is currently a part of the GSHNJ training department
teaching outdoor skills and First Aid/CPR. She has been an instructor
for American Red Cross for over four decades and has been an
instructor for the Babysitter Program for over 10 years.
