Outdoors and Overnights Training Steps 2 and 3 Combined

Participants must stay for the full session in order to receive Outdoor Certification for both steps (Steps 2 and 3).
Please plan to take this course at least six months before your overnight or camporee. This will give you time to teach your Girl Scouts the camping skills that you will learn.
This combined outdoor training covers:
* Clothing and sleeping bags for the outdoors
* How to set up a tent
* Kaper chart for outdoors and camping
* Knots-so your GIrl Scouts can set up a clothesline, rain tarp and more
* Pocket knife safety
* Fire safety - building and lighting a fire; putting a fire out safely
* Stick cookery - roast and eat marshmallows and hot dogs
* Cooking with charcoal and using a propane stove!
You will receive a six-week planning chart that will help the Girl Scouts learn outdoor skills and plan their adventure.
