Inviting all Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors to join us for a powerful and inspiring day for
Leading Through the Pages: An International Day of the Girl Celebration!
📍 Girl Scout Leadership Center Newark
🗓 Satuday, October 11th | 🕚 10:00 AM - 2PM

This special Day of the Girl event is all about celebrating and uplifting women and youth through literature and storytelling. From 10AM to 12:30PM we will:

  • Explore the power of your voice with Margie "Mia X" Johnson-Newark's inaugural Poet Laureate!
  • Connect with stories that inspire leadership and meet Ssanyu Lukoma, TEDx speaker and founder of Brown Kids Read!
  • Engage in bold conversations about making an impact and starting good trouble as an emerging leader.
  • Create a community art piece celebrating each girl in attendance!

Refreshments will be provided at the Speak Out Reception from 12:30PM to 2:00PM. Every Girl Scout will leave with a FREE Rising Troublemaker book by New York Times Best Selling Author Luvvie Ajayi Jones to continue their journey of growth and empowerment!

Girl Scouts and adults must register for this program or event. All Girl Scout participants must be chaperoned at this program or event by their Troop Leaders [Troop Safety] or by a guardian.
