Carroll officially began her role on June 30, 2014. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Boston College before pursuing a Master of Science degree from Rutgers University in Prenatal Nursing. Carroll was a Girl Scout for ten years while growing up. She has also held several volunteer positions as her daughters joined the Girl Scouts.
“I feel so privileged to be able to add my skills and energy to those of the staff and the 9,000 adult volunteers of the Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey” said Carroll. “Together we will continue to offer exciting, fun and meaningful experiences that will help us achieve the Girl Scout mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. And together we will seek to bring this leadership experience to even more girls in our communities.”
Carroll has been a leader in the state’s healthcare industry for 25 years. Most recently she was Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Saint Peter’s Healthcare System. Prior to that she held executive leadership positions in the St. Barnabas Healthcare system including Senior Vice President of Operations at St. Barnabas Medical Center and Executive Director of Irvington General Hospital.
Awarded the rigorous quality certification Six Sigma green belt, Carroll has a long record of putting quality practices to work to improve processes, build better teams, improve morale and ultimately deliver excellent programs to those she serves.
