Congratulations to our 2012 Gold Award Recipients!
On Sunday, June 3rd Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey presented 137 young women from across our Council’s seven-county region with Girl Scouting's highest honor — the Girl Scout Gold Award at the Bridgewater Manor in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Photos from the event are available here!

The Girl Scout Gold Award is achieved by girls whom complete rigorous leadership projects by committing a minimum of 65-80 hours to their planning, implementation and completion. The project portion of the award challenges girls to venture out into the community and address the root cause of an issue. Girls utilize community resources to create a lasting impact that will endure long after their project is complete. The work involved is demanding, time consuming and takes a tremendous amount of ambition to complete. Each of the girls earning the honor has made a serious impact; changing their communities and the world.
