To find training courses on the calendar ...

Use the Category View
Click on "Category" and then on one of the training categories: Basic & Level Trainings, First Aid Trainings, Enrichment Trainings or SU Team Trainings.  Within the category, events will appear in alphabetical order.

Training Registration

To register, please use one of the following:

• Online Training Registration - Use for adult training at any location that does not require a fee. Submit online.

For trainings that require a fee, download, complete and mail one of the following registration forms:

• AHA Registration Form - Use for American Heart First Aid & CPR courses. Mail with payment. Do not use for Red Cross trainings!
• Outdoor & Overnight Training Registration Form - Use for Outdoor & Overnight Step 2 and Step 3 Training. Mail with payment.
• Generic Training Registration Form - Use for all other courses that require a fee, including Red Cross trainings. Mail with payment.

Checks should be made payable to "GSHNJ." Registration forms together with payment should be mailed to:

Book Pre-Orders

For your convenience, you may pre-order a Leader's Guide and/or handbook for the level training you will be attending. By completing and mailing a Book Pre-Order Form with payment, your book will be waiting for you at your training session. Please read and follow instructions on form carefully. Only for trainings held at a Service Center during a time when the Council Shop is not open.

Volunteer Orientation

Volunteer Orientation may be completed online or you may request a take-home kit from your local Service Center. To take the Online Orientation, please first read the Introduction to Online Orientation.
 

Outdoor Training - Outdoors & Overnights Step 1

The Outdoors & Overnights Step 1 self-study course trains volunteers for overnights and is a pre-requisite for all other Outdoor training courses. You may complete the course online or you may request a take-home kit from your service center.
