Our summer camps are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated staff members to provide quality, safe summer programs to our girls! You do not need to be a Girl Scout to apply!
Camp Lou Henry Hoover (Middleville, NJ)
All camp staff participate in one week of pre-camp training conducted by trained professionals and many have taken additional training in their specialty areas. All waterfront activities are supervised by American Red Cross certified lifeguards. Camp Hoover follows the program standards for health, safety and security guidelines of GSHNJ, GSUSA, the American Camp Association, as well as the New Jersey Youth Camp Standards.
Camp Hoover is currently looking for staff to fill the following positions:
- Unit Counselors
- Unit Leaders
- Specialty Counselors in the areas of: Sailing, Gymnastics, Horseback Riding, Performing Arts, Arts and Crafts, Outdoor Cooking, Photography, Pottery
- Trip and Travel Leaders and support staff
- Nurses
- Head and Assistant Cooks, Kitchen Assistants
- Waterfront Lifeguards
You don't have to be a Girl Scout to apply ... just have a love of the outdoors, interest in working with girls and the ability to work as part of a team.
To successfully complete the employment process, please return the employment application and obtain three references. Applicants under the age of 18 need to also submit Working Papers with their application. These forms can be picked from your High School Guidance Department (see below for instructions).

The OVAL (Maplewood, NJ)
The OVAL Summer Day Camp provides fun and education programs that are designed to give girls new and unique opportunities to learn, grow and make friends.
All staff participate in three days of pre-camp training where they become oriented to the camp, job responsibilities, procedures and rules and work on their counseling and camp skills. The OVAL summer day camp follows the program standards for health, safety, and security guidelines of GSHNJ, GSUSA, the American Camp Association and the New Jersey Youth Camp Standards are followed.
The OVAL is currently looking for summer staff. To successfully complete the employment process, please return the employment application and obtain three references. Applicants will be contacted by email regarding the status of their application. Applicants under the age of 18 must submit Working Papers. These forms can be requested from your High School Guidance Department.
