Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey offers volunteer opportunities that are short- or long-term as well as direct and non-direct service to girls.

However you choose to volunteer, you will be assisting girls from age 5-17 to learn and practice leadership skills that will support them throughout their lives.

Here are a few of the ways you may benefit as a Girl Scout volunteer:

  • Attend/plan events
  • Participate socially with other dedicated volunteers
  • Learn a new skill
  • Stay informed on youth development
  • Attend events and connect with other adults/parents

Short-Term Volunteer Opportunities

  • Chaperone an event or trip
  • Attend an event or trip as a First Aid certified chaperone
  • Train girls or adults in First Aid
  • Teach a skill/share a hobby
  • Deliver a workshop
  • Coordinate an event

Long-Term Volunteer Positions

  • Troop Leader/Advisor to girls
  • Trainer of adults
  • Board Member
  • Community Organizer - help girls and volunteers join
